With the development of the Internet, more and more network service requires to transmit 3D model, in particular the emergence of Web3D technologies making 3D technology application much more popular. Nowadays, however, the amount of data of 3D models made by high-precision 3D scanners and modeling tools is always large, which is a great challenge to the current Internet, especially to wireless networks. So this paper does some research on the non-error and robust transmission of the texture-based 3D model in wireless local area network, the details as followings:Proposing an algorithm of bit-Allocation for progressive transmission of Texture-based 3D models. In order to transmit texture-based model more efficiently, the models should be processed before transmission. Firstly, this paper uses the edge-collapse operation to simplify the geometric model, which produces serials of low-resolution geometric models. To keep the features of the simplified models look like the original model, this paper takes into account texture stretching and distortion when the order of selection of which edge should be collapsed. Secondly, we improve the SPIHT algorithm to encode 2D texture image and this algorithm can generate any compression ratio of the stream file, so the client can get an approximation of the original image in a short time through decoding. Finally, a series of simplified geometric models and texture images are matched on bandwidth. The basic principle of this kind of matching is to meet the bandwidth and get the optimal visual effect. Experimental results show that we obtain good visual of the low resolution of the textured 3D model under the conditions of meeting the bandwidth.Proposing a hybrid of transmission protocol based on FEC and MAC-Lite. Graphics transmission over wireless local area network is more challenging than over wired network. These challenges are particularly difficult because of the erroneous nature of the wireless channel. In this paper, an efficient hybrid FEC and Mac-Lite model transmission Protocol in WLAN is proposed which is based on the fact that graphics data can tolerate some bit-errors without noticeable degradation in quality. Before the transmission, the model is divided into important base model data and less important detail data by the algorithm mentioned above. And then, they are transmitted by modified protocol based on FEC and sensitive data dependent Mac-Lite protocol respectively according to their different importance. The simulation results demonstrate that network throughput improves significantly and end-to-end delay decreases obviously, but the graphics quality has no apparent degradation.Developing a 3D virtual E-shopping mall system. In order to solve the problems of lacking of both realistic for the goods presentation and the friendly interaction with users on the traditional E-commerce websites, this paper realizes a dynamic interaction and strong realistic 3D E-commerce shopping system using the above research results. In the client end, we develop a real-time rendering plug-in which can be embedded in browser while service end includes the processing of the 3D model and scene model management subsystem.
