In recent years, the nation has helped develop Xinxiang's economy and promote its cultural undertakings. Xinxiang Production & Construction Corps has constructed irrigation works on the rim of deserts and frontier areas with hostile environment, and reclaimed wasteland. With the start of farm and sideline product processing industry, they have developed modern industry, which has gradually formed an industrial system of steel, coal, building materials, electric power, chemical industry, and machinery with light industry and textile industry on the first place. With the foundation of national economic system in the Corps, the education, science and cultural undertakings of the Corps has been adequately developed. Especially in these years, there are 13 divisions of the 14-division Corps which have developed their media systems composing of TV station, radio station and news office, provided better services to the Corps and Xinxiang, and given full play to the mouthpiece of the Party. By now, 13 divisions of the Corps have their own official newspapers and many of them have a long history. And the oldest one of these newspapers is the Tarim Newspaper of No. 1 Division, which was launched in 1938 and has a 72-year history, while the youngest one is the Kunlun Newspaper of No. 14 Division, which was launched in January, 2004 and just has a history of 6 years. No matter when these newspapers were launched, they have their own characteristics which conform to the local features of the very division. In order to learn more about the divisional newspapers of the Corps, I have chosen the 13 divisional newspapers of the Corps as the object and made an in-depth comprehensive analysis of these newspapers from the prospective of history, layout, special column, content, and management control.
