The Research And Realization Of The Protection Of Campus Network Information Security

The research topic of this paper is how to protect the security of campus network information in our school (Jining Teacher's College). The article discussed how to use network security technology to protect our school's campus network information in details.Now the campus network in our school is playing an increasingly important role:as an important infrastructure, it is charged with teaching, scientific research, management and foreign exchange and so on. Along with the development of network technology, education informationization and campus network have become the direction of educational development. Due to the increase of our school's campus network size and the Internet users, the network information security threats has become the primary issue we are facing in campus network management. The security situation of campus network has a direct impact on school's teaching activities. As what people say:network's life lies in its security. Therefore, under now available condition, how to improve the campus network information security, ensure the operation of campus network safe, stable and highly efficient, is one important subject that the thesis deals with.Our school's (Jining Teacher's College) campus network has repeatedly been paralyzed by virus attacks, on the one hand because network equipment is outdated and unable to meet the growing scale of the campus network; on the other hand, because our network security technology and safety measures were not advanced enough and the management is not timely. Therefore, last year (2009) in April, we had our school campus network upgraded in order to establish a highly efficient, green and safe campus network world. Starting from the security status of our school's campus network, and the problems rising from current situation, the following article will discuss how to use network security technology and management technology to protect the security of our campus network information.The network security technologies applied in our college's campus network are firewall technology, Vlan technology, anti-virus technology and authentication technology. In this thesis I will discuss the first three network security technologies in details.
