| With the development of mobile communication, higher and higher demands havealso been raised for base station antennas, such as broadband or multiple bands, higergain, good patterns and so on. At the same time a compact structure size as small aspossible is required in order to reduce air resistance and have a lower installationrequirement in environment. This first two chapters review the development process ofmobile communication, also make a brief introduction of the antenna's basic theory, andfinite element method(FEM) ,which is the theoretical basis for HFSS a simulationsoftware used in this paper. In chapter III,a broadband dual polarization base stationantenna unit covering CDMA800MHz/GSM900MHz is described in detail. Throughsimulation and actual tests have proved that it has a good voltage standing wave ratio(VSWR),isolation, patternsandgain.Atthesametimethemoduleismanufacturedbycasting process. Compared to an ordinary microstrip element, not only does it has alower cost, structural stability, but also a better Third-order Intermodulation. In the lastchapter,a 8 cells and 4°declination angle array antenna is designed using Taylorsynthesis, test have proved it fully meets the index requirements of mobilecommunication. |
