| Video surveillance system has been widely used in our life by people's increasing aware of security as well as the rapid development of embedded technology. At present, the new generation of embedded network video monitoring system integrates advanced image compression processing and network communication technologies. The users can access the front-end of the video surveillance equipment, get audio, video information and alarm information by a wired or wireless network at any place, any time, and control the front-end equipment as needed at the same time. Based on embedded technology, this system has high stability and reliability that it has a high application potential in the bank surveillance, safe urban construction, intelligent home and so on presently.Combined with the high-speed wireless video surveillance system project based on WIMAX technology which the author take part in, the paper analyzes the system requirements, selects TI high-performance multimedi processor TMS320DM6437 as the core processor, be based on web-video codec standard H.264, and describes the design in detail around the DM6437 external interface.Firstly, this article briefly introduced the research background of the subject as well as the source of the project, describes the history of video surveillance systems, and makes some illustration about related technologies in the application of video surveillance system. After careful consideration of the embedded related technologies, the paper analyzes the needs of the video server; puts forward the system design plan, design principles and the main selection of the system according to the system's main technical indicators. Then, it designs the various functional modules around the system's overall program of the system, and it mainly includes: Video capture module; audio module; Ethernet communication module; UART communication module; USB interface module; I2C bus control module; external memory expansion modules; power modules and J-TAG-simulation interface. Finally, the paper analysis the signal integrity in the high-speed PCB, completes the design of this hardware platform PCB layout and final production of PCB board according to high-speed system design rules.Finally, the paper summaries the work of full text as well as prospects for future work; and provides all the hardware design circuit of the entire system in the appendix. Because the author is mainly responsible for hardware design in the project, the main contents of this paper emphasis on the hardware design and development. |
