| Yan Xishan is a prominent figure in modern history. Yan Xishan who collects military and political authority in a body has sat "the local despot" in Shanxi for 38 year from October 29,1911 Revolution success in Shanxi to April 24,1949 liberation of Taiyuan. The former people have made quite valuable progress in many aspects especially in his philosophic and political thinking's research whereas the research in his education thought has gradually flourished in recent years. But it has not yet to collect, summarize, organize and research in system in view of the Shanxi publishing under this special time, special character influence as well as the news publication thought and the publishing industry material in his political power about Yan Xishan are also sees here and there occasionally in each kind of work. But as a ruler, his publication thought in this period must be the dominant thought, and even is an important component in its whole ideology.Historical information on the significance of the development of human life, publishing historical on the significance of the development of the publishing industry and even people's intelligence and spiritual realm has been confirmed by people's practice. The development of publication culture research emerges vigorously in large-scale, large areas of cities and regions in the 90s.
