Intervention Of Bodyness In New Media Art Creation

This paper began with two clues:1.Discussing the development of new media art to mixed media art by defining and discriminating the related concepts—new media, multi-media, and mixed media.2. By discussing the history of body thinking, the paper summarized a formula (body←→consciousness/idea←→action←→relation-ship), then argued "bodyness" with same name but different meanings. These two clues then pointed out the intervention of bodyness in mixed media art. Secondly, with three case study of mixed media art, the paper concluded different features of them, and discussed the mixed media art in China by analyzing the phenomenon and theory. Finally, the paper discussed the future development and significance of new media art.
