| With the rapid development of domestic economic construction and the improvement of international status, the port as a hub for the exchange of goods between countries and regions, their status becomes more and more apparent. However, with the continuous improvement of a variety of new terminal equipment, technology, the Terminal Management System (TMS) has a serial of serious problems, such as, lower performance, difficult functionality expansion, poor user experience, security, etc. Since TMS is basically starting from the 90's, the original system has been far from satisfying the needs of building a modern information terminal. The TMS's replacement is imperative. However, the terminal needs for 24-hour continues operations, it cannot let the terminal ceased operation. There should be a planned and gradual way to replace the system updates and debugging.To address the above problems, this paper analyzes business process of terminal in large-scale harbor in detailed, and study key technologies of terminal management system transformation in-depth. On the basis of the original system, In accordance with the principle of gradual replacement of the system, we design and implement a new terminal management system. The system adopts the three-tier deployment architecture, data caching techniques were used on the client and application server, effectively reducing the server pressure and network traffic; in client-side modular smart client technology was used to make a clear division between business modules, and to simplify development of modules. By using off-line operation technology of client, it was able to ensure a wireless signal terminal operational continuity; client's no-touch deployment significantly reduces the system deployment, upgrade maintenance and workload. As a result of late-bound communications protocols, the application server can be deployed depending on the application need, thus allowing developers to focus only on business logic development. New system's implementation of a large terminal in Shanghai Port not only proved gradually replace the original system's strategy is effective, but also proved that the new system has greatly improved on-line TMS's overall performance.The innovation of this paper is as follows, according to the requirements of port operations cannot be interrupted, a kind of compatibility with older systems, seamless upgrade technical architecture was designed; for the features of large volume of terminal business process, design a hierarchical data caching mechanisms; for the requirements of ease of use and expansion of business, design a modular smart client; variable for the terminal business, but cannot interrupt the characteristics of business services, designed a dynamically extensible business logic services. |
