Using simulation technology for design vehicle in the early development of EV can effectively anticipate potential problems that may appear in the R & D process; then a real designed one will be hold to avoid unnecessary losses, increasing success and reducing Comprehensive cost in R & D process.As battery technology limitations, EV develops slowly; Ultra-capacitor developed recently has some advantages which conventional battery technology can not match, Hybrid power technology of combination of the battery and ultra-capacitor can effectively protect the battery, extend battery life, and increase using time of EV. The Paper based on simulation platform of ADVISOR, and developed a simulation model of hybrid power EV, and integrated domestic and foreign common driving cycles to validate the model. The paper includes ADVISOR simulation principle, ADVISOR secondary developing method, model of hybrid power EV and simulation results. ADVISOR simulation theory mainly described simulation methods, simulation files, simulation models; Methodologies of ADVISOR secondary development are described in a graphical interface, assembly models and vehicle models; in the article of Hybrid power EV model development, hybrid power model, control strategy of hybrid power, and vehicle model were described respectively; Based on the analysis of various driving cycles at home and abroad, a new driving cycle was combined to verify the model of hybrid power EV. From the analysis of hybrid power EV Simulation Results, we could see hybrid power EV model was correct.The paper performed secondary development on the simulation platform of ADVISOR, and got a suitable access to hybrid power EV simulation technology platform, and solved the shortcomings that the ADVISOR can not be used by the battery ultra-capacitor hybrid power EV and used the new platform to make a simulation of hybrid power EV.
