TD-LTE Terminal Protocol Conformance Testing Standard Research And Test Case Development

As TD-SCDMA technology continues to mature, TD-LTE technology which would be the long-term evolution technology of TD-SCDMA had put on the agenda. To adapt to the development of TD-LTE industry and standards,3GPP LTE terminal in need, at the beginning of conformance test standard establishment, established the development of terminal conformance test TTCN code plan. In consideration of 3G terminal has reflected the huge workload and long cycle about conformance test specifications and TTCN code development may be a risk of commercial application LTE bottlenecks, global operators put the LTE terminal conformance test specifications and TTCN code development as one of the three major problems to be solved.This project has been researched during the internship in CATR of MIIT. This research topic related to the National Science & Technology Major projects of "New Generation of Broadband Wireless Mobile Communication Network" could be treated as the connection of the projects "TD-LTE TTCN test standard research" and "TD-LTE terminal conformance test TTCN code development". This subject mainly through the TD-LTE air interface protocol framework and stratified protocol function standards research had designed TD-LTE protocol conformance test cases under different scene and submitted to 3GPP which as an international standard presented in 3GPP TS 35.523. According to the 3GPP test standards and to ensure the conformance of the TD-LTE terminal interconnection, using the test cases develop language TTCN-3 to implement the corresponding TD-LTE terminal protocol conformance test cases code.This paper firstly summarized the standardization progress of 3GPP LTE, the development of the theory foundation in detail and the project research purposes and research in brief. And then focuses on the main topic, had discussed the TD-LTE terminal protocol conformance testing standard researching methods. From the two dimensions of the longitudinal and transverse careful analysis of the test cases, design and process, the three proposals submitted to 3GPP by the author. The second task is transforming the natural language test case to TTCN-3 code. Finally, through the author completed two test cases, makes a thorough analysis of the techniques, develop language and development tools characteristics.
