| With the rapid development of the Internet, VoIP is taking the place of traditional PSTN gradually because of its advantages of low cost and low bandwidth. It has become the major form of NGN to transmit voice. According to the VoIP signaling protocol-SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), is getting more and more popular in this field owing to the characteristics of its simplicity, easy extension and easy realization, which has made it become a very important protocol in the world of the Internet and the telecommunications. Meanwhile, the technology of P2P has also become the mainstream technology in the application of the Internet because of its features of extendability, fault-tolerance capability and robustnessHow to make the SIP and the P2P Technology to complement each other effectively and to provide efficient and high quality VoIP Service in the VoIP field is becoming the researching hot spot. Nowadays, there are many institutions, organizations and companies that are doing some researches. However, there still exist various problems. This paper has proposed and designed an efficient and easily realized P2P-SIP system based on the existing researches. Further research and exploration of the system have been discussed in this paper.Firstly, the related characteristics and its merits and demerits of SIP and P2P technology are introduced. Secondly, the P2P-SIP VoIP system, which adopted SIP using P2P model, using Chord Algorithm to construct double overlay network and loose coupling architecture after analyzing the existing researches which were combined SIP with P2P, is illustrated in detail,Finally, the author conducted a system test to check up the system's prototype system, analyzed the testing result of the system, and made a conclusion. |
