Most of normal construction machinery controllers are based on the technology of traditional PLC. The technology of traditional PLC not only has it's own faults, but also do not have a good ability of data processing and network communication, and it can not provide function of performance status monitoring and fault diagnosis, and it can not provide support for developing the system of remote monitoring and maintenance, so traditional controller can not realize intelligent control, and it leads construction machinery to have high maintenance rate, long maintenance time and low efficiency, and it seriously block project progress.New construction machinery begins to use soft-PLC technology. As a new technology that uses software technology to realize the control functions of traditional PLC, soft-PLC is based on IEC61131-3 standard, modern computer hardware and software resource, field bus technology and network communication technology. The new controller, which based on Soft-PLC technology, not only can realize the control functions of traditional PLC controller, but also has a good ability of data processing and network communication. It can meet the need of intelligent development of construction machinery and now becomes mainstream product in high level market of controller.For existing construction machinery controllers can not meet the need of performance status monitoring and fault diagnosis, the research on intelligent controller of construction machinery based on soft-PLC technology is necessary. The controller is based on platform of hardware of embedded system, and adopts real-time operating systemμC/OS-II as the scheduling core, and IEC61131-3 standard soft-PLC run-time system and CANopen protocol stack as the major modules of software system. The controller not only has the control functions of the traditional PLC controller, but also has a good ability of data processing and network communication, and it can meet the need of performance status monitoring and fault diagnosis. A realization method of intelligent controller for construction machinery based on soft-PLC technology is detailed described.
