| ZigBee is a new short-distance wireless communications technology. This paper establishes a wireless temperature sensor network based on ZigBee technology. This paper selects MC13213 as hardware development platform, which is the second generation development kit for ZigBee of Freescale, and it includes two parts, that is 13213-NCB and 13213-SRD, the main chip of which is MC13213, and the main difference is Peripherals circuit, This chip integrates a low power 2.4GHz radio frequency (RF) transceiver and a MCU, which belongs to the family of HCS 08. They are mainly connected by SPI and IRQ pins, and also the RF transceiver is an IEEE 802.15.4-compliant radio. The paper selects a digital temperature sensor DS1624 as its temperature sensor, which produces by Dallas. The work of this paper is to design and implement a wireless temperature sensor network, Firstly, it programs corresponding drivers of the function modules which will be used in the system, such as SCI, SPI, LCD, KBI, TIMER, IIC. Secondly, it designs a star network based on the structure characteristics and resources of the hardware. In this network,13213-NCB is a PAN coordinator, which is a central part of the network and responsible for monitoring remote temperature. Moreover,13213-SRB is an end device, which implements environmental temperature collection via the connection with DS1624 through the IIC protocol, and it sent the temperature value to PAN coordination. Based on the library files of PHY and MAC layers, which are provided by Freescale, The paper implements the upper layers of ZigBee stack architecture, including NWK and Application layers. Finally, testes the various functional modules of the system. The temperature sensor network which was established in this paper can be widely used for temperature detection, for example, workshop and equipment in industry, soil in agriculture, room temperature and household appliances in house, and so on. |
