The Research On TD-SCDMA & Wi-Fi Inter-Working Solution

As the rapid progress of mobile communication,kinds of mobile communication standards compete and complement each other,so, Heterogeneous network convergence will definitely become biggest development trend.TD-SCDMA can meet high communication quality,seamless roaming requirement,it features mature voice service,good roaming, handover,perfect AAA functions.But it is still difficult to fully satisfy users'need for lOMbit/s or even more high-speed multimedia service demand.While,WLAN can provide up to 11Mbit/s peak data rate transmission,also can support mobility and multimedia services.So TD-SCDMA and WLAN network convergence will be able to provide high-quality mobile voice service,also will let users enjoy high speed data multimedia service.Therefore,TD-SCDMA and WLAN network convergence will be efficient and effective.Based on the WLAN and TD-SCDMA network convergence,This paper analyzes the way to integrate heterogeneous network,and the key technology group Gateway in this way,proposes a feasible WLAN and TD-SCDMA inter working architecture. The paper finishes the design of WALN covered of North University of China, realizes the WLANcovered in hot area,gives a network programs in a loosely coupled manner network programs.Finally,the whole inter working architecture was tested step by step,and the test result proves that this solution and architecture is correct.
