| Welding is an important process to modern industry, extensive used in auto industry. The welding robot and automotive welding line brings big profit to metal welding via the production line capability and quality performance improvement. High effective of manufacture, stable quality and consistency are typical strong point of an Automation Welding Line, supporting vehicle approach to low carbon, low emission and silence targets.But on the other hand, Automation Welding Line means more investment, higher requirements to sub-components'dimension, consistency. Therefore, run the production as effective as possible is a final target of every Automation Welding Line. At the same time, we must considering how to reduce the rework and scarp rate to improve the effective via some Industry Engineering skills.We improved the production capacity, balance rate and quality of Auto Robot Welding line via Industiral Engineering knowledge, Balance Analysis, Cpk and PFMEA etc. in this article.We should start our case from the analysis of currently process, welding parameters, operators, equipments and environment, include the influence each others, and product quality and production line capacity of these factors, to calculate the balance point between quality requirements and production, to improve the Robot welding line capacity. As another way, we had deeply research to these key components on sub-supplier side and get some new ideas about to improve these parts quality. Finally, conduct by the production line's investment and profit to decide which plan should be implemented.We improve the Automation Welding Line balance rate nearly 10%, production cost reduced 10.6% and improve the capacity 30% with a little investment through this case, completed the production line updated successfully without any new equipments cost. We need to balance the investment, capacity and quality as we optimize the production line, flow chart or process, to assure our proposal is run with the lowest cost, highest profit and perfect quality performance, which means the maximum reward to our project. |
