The implement and application of ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning)requires reorganizing, restructuring and optimizing the original business process. Specifically, by using ERP, every component element of the process is able to create as much value as possible and decrease inefficient or valueless exercises, and meanwhile the integrated process is also optimally designed as a whole, such that restructured ERP is able to increase the effectiveness of operation for an enterprise and build up its advantage in competition. The implement of ERP requires straightening out the business process. At the moment, however, this crucially depends on the experience of the ERP consultants. Quantitative methods and tools are therefore in great need in order to analyze, diagnose, simulate and evaluate the operation results after implementing ERP.This thesis illustrates restructuring business process in terms of its origin, definition, procedure and implementation, some methods of modeling process restructuring and process optimization. Moreover, this thesis gives great details in applying ARIS method and simulation technique, and on the basis of all these it gives conclusions of optimizing business process. There are a couple of problems in the ERP of compressor manufactories, for instance, the suppliers in the related purchasing process are unfixed, the purchase volume is unstable, and the data generated in the operation is massive, complicated and difficult to share, etc. In order to solve these problem this thesis properly puts data chart, organization chart, function chart, control chart and other methods in ARIS into the component elements of the business process. According to the objective of the enterprise, it is implemented into the entire modeling process, i.e. business objective, business structure, business function and business process. In regards to the other situations in practice, for instance, maintaining the data related to purchasing, subcontract procurement, consignment procurement, the thesis applies object diagram, value‐added‐chain diagram, function tree diagram, and eEPC (Extended Event driven Process Chain) to describe business model, and based on this model it applies EISA optimization principle and system restructuring method, which leads to a successful reestablishment of the ERP of compressor manufactories. In addition, the thesis has also done simulation in ARIS to compare the simulated data before and after process optimization in terms of procedure statistics, function statistics, organization statistics. From these numerical statistics it concludes that, the optimization is able to increase the business efficiency, decrease the business cost, decrease the unnecessary operation employers, and eventually increase the organization efficiency.By using the powerful SAP ECC6.0 system, the thesis completes the background configuration of the blueprint of the purchasing related business, and based on the above model, the thesis finishes the realization of the business blueprint in the SAP system.
