The Overall Implementation Plan Based On Flat-Management Of The Soft-Switch Network For Shanxi Telecom

With the intense competition in the telecommunications market, the concept of the traditional telecommunications and systems has been continually impacted by the new technologies and new theories, which are represented by the internet technologies. Coexistence of multiple networks today makes the mutual integration trend of development. As the business provision ability becomes the main competitive power of each communication carrier, business needs also become more and more diverse, and it urgently needs the new technology and network to support. Against this background, the next generation network, based on soft-switch technology, comes into being, and has been developed rapidly.Soft-switch technology, combined with the characteristics of traditional telecom networks which can be operated and managed, and the concept of IP network, which is simple, open and flexible, puts forward a thought of business/call control/bearer separation, and through the hierarchical and open interfaces, it can effectively address the evolution and integration of the existing communication networks, and lower network costs. Besides these, it also can provide new services continuously, in this way, it will enable operators to gain revenue more quickly and obtain the favor of all.This paper focuses on the feasibility of implementation of the telecommunications soft-switch project, combines the status of telecommunications networks and the construction of the NGN experimental network in Shanxi Province, and introduces the network flat applications, which has the core of soft-switch technology. First, this paper explains the research background, meaning, the necessity for project and structure and content of the thesis; then outlines the developing situation of the traditional switched network in China and the problems of the development of next generation network; finally, sums up of the concept, theory, application of the soft-switch, and the soft-switch-based next generation network. It also gives the concept of flat network, building, and organizational principles; and according to the loading implementation requirement of the flat business to represent the test programs. Combining with business needs, it proposes the core network project of Shanxi Telecom, i.e. the overall implementation plan based on the soft-switch network, and then the initial test results are given.
