OTN (Optical Transport Network) is the technology for next generation transport network. With the WDM-based technology, OTN has the advantages of both SDH and WDM, it can provide efficient service of large particle multiplexing and controling, transparent transmission of multi-service, overhead management, longer transmission distance. With system of standards-based technology, these characteristics help OTN technology become the one of the mainstream of next-generation optical networks.This paper funded by the state 863, "high-capacity optical transport network (OTN) key technology and equipment system." In this paper, we made researches about the existed OTN mapping technology and other key technologies.The main work done by the following:1. Doing the research about the flaws and shortages of current OTN mapping technologies, proposed suggestions in ODUflex mapping program, CSF overhead design and so on.This paper analyzed the client signals mapping process of the OTN network and proposed a method of electrical cross and multiplex based on the GFP channel ID. This method is used to mapping GFP client signals into ODUflex. In addition, by combining with the APS of OTN, we designed a new measure to indicate the CSF overhead. The CSF indicating method meets the requirements of the OTN network protection switching.2. By using FPGA, we designed and implemented GbE service rate adaptation module and GFP mapping function module. GbE service rate adaptation module is to solve the problem for the GbE services clock synchronization to the local clock in the time of the GbE signals encapsulatd into ODUflex. And the GFP mapping function module completes the mapping and demapping GFP frames.3. In this paper, we made research about hot topics of the G.709-ODUflex Resizing mechanism, we designed a new mechanism which did not require the participation of network management, so the mechanism of the Dynamic Bandwidth adjustment is real "hitless", and it meets future needs of the OTN network applications.
