Research And Implementation Of Ajax Technology In The Blog System

Blog has become the latest Internet trend because of its frequently updated, concise and personalized features. It's the fourth means of network communication after E-mail, BBS and ICQ (IM). As a means of information exchange, blog was also received the close attention of educators and applied to the teaching areas. And many colleges have built their own school blogs as a tool of knowledge management and a platform of communication for teachers and students.Ajax (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) is a comprehensive technology proposed in February 2005. Although it contains some old technologies, it combines them in a new application way and brings new vitality to the original technologies. Its main function is to change the interactive style from synchronous to asynchronous between the browser and the server. And it solves the problem of frequently refreshed to wait for data transmission and plays an important role in improving data exchange speed and the user's experiences.This paper systematically analyzes the meaning, features, advantages and key technologies of the Ajax and the traditional Web application. According to the needs of the teachers and students of a professional technology college, this paper designs and implements a blog system on Ajax technology including XMLHttpRequest, JavaScript, XML and XSLT, CSS, DOM, etc.The system tried a new constructing site way of XML, XSLT and CSS which completely separates the data, structure and display; It implemented partial page refreshes through using XMLHttpRequest object to exchange data asynchronously with the Web server, AjaxUpload library and the full-text search engine with Lucene.Net.The system runs successfully in the local area network. In comparison with the traditional way of constructing site, the way of XML, XSLT and CSS has fast response and saves the bandwidth. It proves that it's a good choice to construct site using Ajax technology.
