As the development of 3G mobile communication network, smart communication terminal emerged gradually, mobile phone combine with the network skills turned Smartphone into the new trend of the development. The most fundamental characteristic of Smartphone is its open operating system,expandable functions and supporting installing of the third-party software. Operating system is the indispensable software environment.The paper mainly study that the double core module of wireless communication based on GSM/GPRS is developed and designed ,on the basis of building Linux system of Smartphone. About the software environment of this Smartphone, the linux kernel is adopted, it is open and freeware, so it can reduce the development costs. About the hardware environment, S3C2410 based on ARM9 is used as microprocessor of Smartphone, SIM300 and ZD1211WiFi is used as its wireless communication module.At first, on the basis of analyse the system architecture of Smartphone, understanding operating system platform and its development thrend. Others operating system is analysed and cmpared.In addition, emphases and difficulties of porting is pointed, and real-timing of Linux kernel is improved on the basis of studying architecture of Linux kernel. On that basis, embedded linux operating system is analysed and customized, witch can run on the firmware environment of Smartphone, in terms of bootloader,configuration and compilation of kernel and root file system.Afterwards, the core module of GSM/GPRS wireless communation system is designed ,and interfaces of application program is provided in terms of phone communication,SMS communication and data communication.Then, architcture and algorithms of WiFi protocol is analyzed, the core module of WiFi is designed and relized. Eventually, the embedded system of Smartphone is tested, a embedded Linux operating system of Smartphone and its basic function of communation is designed and relized.At the end of this thesis, conclude all of my work about this paper and consider the future task.
