Since the 90s' of 20 century, all kinds of financial risks have strongly effected the development of the world banking. Not only the high frequency of the financial crisis brings the supervision of the banking great change, but also the mix of the kinds of finance and the globalization of the world economy. The new directions of the supervision and management on banking in today's financial area are as follows: first, the keystone of the supervision is the supervision on risks. Second, functional supervision is become more popular. Third, the conception has been built up that the supervision of government and the rules of the market are equally important. Last, many countries have increased their corporation.The supervision and management of banking of our country is far behind from the world's steps. In the past 50 years, our development on banking supervision has got some achievements, such as the advancements on the system of supervision, financial legal system, measures of supervision, the improvement of the aspects of the supervision and the steady execution of financial plans. But we also have many problems as follows: first, the macro environment of our banking supervision is not very well. Second, we don't have a durative and effective system of supervision. Third, things that can be done on banking supervision are very little.Because of the gap between the world's level and that of us, we must quest for a way to develop our ability on banking supervision. In 2003, Banking Supervision and Management Committee of China was declared to be built up. To search for a way fit for our situation, we should do many things as follows: first, we shouldimprove the macro environment of our financial supervision. Second, we should build up a series of systems for risks supervision. Third, we should improve the internal system of banks to control the process of bank's management.
