With the development of science, Human Resource plays a very important role in social advancement and organic subsistence. Performance Appraisal is to check the work result of employees and their behaviors in work. As a managerial method, Performance Appraisal is becoming more and more important. Although it had a long history, it is not motionless because it had been developing with the progress of society and economy.Performance Appraisal used to pay attention only to appraising how well the work had been done. The main function was supervising and controlling. But now, this is not enough for meeting the management requirement of enterprises any more. For survival and development, an enterprise not only has to fulfill the task to achieve the goal, but also needs to form excellent enterprise culture and to make the work atmosphere of cooperation and innovation to improve the potential and competitive ability. Thus, performance appraisal should pay attention not only to Task Performance but also to Contextual Performance, and should have more actions in management such as guidance and incentive.The work of performance appraisal includes building a reasonable and scientific of performance system, appraisal implement and the use of appraisal results, the performance appraisal systems of most enterprises currently focus on the Task Performance and ignore the Contextual Performance. It is harmful to the development of enterprises. Moreover, it restrains the development of employees' career.As an example, this thesis analyses the performance appraisal system of Chengdu Aerospace Mold & Plastics Corporation, which focuses only on Task Performance. On the base of studying the system, it brings forward a new appraising method of assessing two types of performance respectively and inspiriting the employees respectively according to the two types of performance and establishes a new performance appraisal system that faces the future. The new performance appraisal system thinks of not only the current benefit of the corporation but the future benefit of it as well. Moreover, it thinks of the requirements of the corporation and those of the employees together. It effectively resolves the problems in the system that focuses only on Task Performance.
