Research On Xinjiang Branch Information Technology After Data Centralization Operation

Data Centralization Operation is the strategy implemented by the commercialbank to promote the informationize level and enhance the information technologyapplication capability through data consolidation, the strategy will upgrade thetechnology application ratio in the bank operation. Bank of China(hereinafter calledBOC) Xinjiang Branch startup the Data Centralization in 1999;in 2001, the DataCentralization of Xinjiang Province is accomplished, 16 former data processingcenters were united into one, the information technology section is the main bodyof data processing center. In 2002, the host information of Xinjiang Province wascalled back to the Northern west Center, thus the goal of data centralization of BOCXinjiangBranchisachieved.Theoperationhasreceivedgoodfeedbackandchangedthe overall science and technology structure. The object of this article is to analyzethe post-centralization situation of information technology and raise the settlementscheme.The rapid growth of banking industry enhanced the application of informationtechnology, from 1980's till now, it is proved that the banking operation andmanagement can not depart from the support of information technology, so does thedevelopment of banking industry, hence IT becomes the dominant power ofinnovation, at the same time science innovation becomes the main measure for theinauguration of financial products. The increasing business and management needsbring conflicts with limited resources;how to keep the system run smoothly andkeep the safe production bring antinomies with innovation, these make IT theprincipal part of contradiction. The uncertaintyof exterior factor and the complexityof banking industry make IT becomes a restriction factor of development. Beingentitledas chiefof ITsection,the writertastes thedifficultyas well as importanceofIT works, as to ensure the stability of banking business system and promotes thecompetitiveness;ITworksplaysanimportantroleinthebankdevelopment.Throughanalyze the advanced information service concept, the article analyze the currentsituation and the management of IT after Data Centralization and raise its ownframework idea.Via consulting many kinds of information and investigating the manufacturer'sproduction data, the writer deems that the research work on post data centralizationwork must based on the actual status of the bank and combined with thecharacteristics of bank industry. Although there are a large variety of technicalsolutions, it seems that these solutions are incapable to meet the requirements ofcurrentdomesticsituationandbankmanagement,especiallyforITsection.AstheITmanagement section, how to coordinate with other sections and serve for the bankbusiness development, management and marketing, how to guarantee the wellbalanced operation of the current system is very essential. Most of the availableresearch documents are derived from the mature products or the experience fromoverseas company;therefore they are unadapted to BOC Xinjiang Branch's existingsituation. IT section in commercial bank has its own financial specialty and isvarying fromotherITcompanies.Through overall investigation on ITsections of all governbranches in XinjiangProvince;the article processed the statistics on the problems and raised suggestionson how to carry on the daily work after Data Centralization. Combined withfinancial digitalization and theoretical studyon ITmanagement, the articleevaluatessomepractical cases to investigateon the ITservicemanagement,safeproductionofITsystem,structuralconstructionetc.
