The long-term development of an enterprise requires appropriate businessstrategy. To survive in such competitive and variable environment, a companyshould analyze its internal and external environment from strategic point of view andmake a long-term development plan. As the ongoing reform of power industrymanagement system now in China, The power plant should clearly understand itsstrengths and opportunities in the market place and develop an appropriate strategyto ensure sustainable growth.The thesis studies the business strategy of Kaifeng Power Bureau using thetheories of strategy management. It addresses the social environment, industrysituations, internal environment and fully analyzes business value chain in detailand results in the SWOT analysis. A comprehensive power supply industrycompetitiveness evaluation model is constructed and we have located the relativeposition of Kaifeng Power Bureau in Henan Province using this model. KaifengPower network load capacity is predicted using various methods such as the annualincremental method, elasticity coefficient of power, regression analysis and graymodel. The development strategy and implementing plan for Kaifeng Power Bureauis presented using the qualitative and quantitative analysis.The author hopes that the conclusions of the thesis will provide a guideline anda help for the long-term survival for Kaifeng Power Bureau.
