Port and shipping industries are the basic industries in the National economy. The industries have become two of the most modernized departments in every country. The development of the port and shipping industry is not only advantageous to promote the optimizing arrangement of social resources, but also advantageous to promote the growth of foreign trade volume through enhancing the transportation functions. Our port and shipping industries develop at full speed in the market competition since revolution and opening. At present, there are 20 port and shipping listed companies that listed in Shenzhen and Shanghai, and the scale is expanding constantly. China 哈 has become the member of WTO, the port and shipping listed companies will confront sharper competition, and people will pay more attention to their financial condition. If we can analyze their financial condition correctly, then it will bring important practical significance for the investors and creditors to protect their own profit, for the operators to keep lookout the financial crisis, for the government to supervise the risk of security market.Therefore, my paper takes the port and shipping listed companies as the research objects, chooses 10 port listed companies and 6 shipping listed companies as research samples, establishes a set of index system of financial analysis that are suit for the port and shipping listed companies, calculates the essential index according to the financial statements from 1999 to 2004, analyzes their financial condition including the abilities of pay off the debt, operating, profiting, growing, cash flow, takes the specific analysis and comparing research, gets their superiority and inferiority in financial condition through using tendency analytic method, comparative analytic method, ratio analytic method, factor analytic method, and finally, the paper raises some rational proposals.
