A Study On Urban Functional Position

Urban function is the role and characteristics of the whole city, including city andregional relations, city-to-city division. Urban functions belong to the study of urbansystems in urban geography.To meet the needs of modern city managers, to provide modern scientific basisfor decision-making urban management, the paper as a basis for urban geography,regional geography, economics, urban planning and other related disciplines, thepaper compiled existing research results, raised the general pattern of the modernurban functions. I hope to enrich the theory and practice of urban geography content.In conclusion, the article did empirical research on Liaoyuan City during the "11thFive-Year Plan" urban functions.The paper consists of five main components:The first part is the introduction, explained urban functions related concepts;Part II deals with the basic content of the study of urban functions, includingurban functions research status, nature and principles;The third part is the theoretical support studies of urban functions and maincontent;Part IV evaluated an assessment of the current research in urban functionscomprehensively, proposed the general pattern of urban functions position;The article did empirical research on Liaoyuan City during the "11th Five-YearPlan" urban functions in Part V.At the same time, this part is thematic research results of the projectcommissioned by Liaoyuan Municipality, before the preparation of "11th Five-YearPlan". It belongs to Northeast Normal University Town Planning Institute. The projecthas been accepted by the Group of Experts.
