Empirical Studies Of The Relationship Between The Development Of Stock Market And Economic Growth In China

The problem about the relationship between the development of stockmarket and economic growth has always been interested in by economists.The stock market of China is developing quickly with Chinesecharacteristics. The special developing condition has attracted wideattention of scholars. The agreement about whether the development of thestock market could stimulate the economic growth in China has not beenreached. This paper studies the relationship between them with fiveindexes, which could reflect the development of the stock market, throughdescribing analysis, pertinence analysis and regression test. It gets theresult that, in China, they have few influence in each other. Then thispaper analyzes the mechanism how the development of stock marketinfluences economic growth and points out the problems existing in Chinesestock market. At the end of this paper, several suggestions are proposedaccording to the study before.
