A Survey Of Corporate Governance In City Commercial Bank

Corporate governance is one of the hot topics in the world nowadays. Reform of Corporate governance in city commercial bank in china is being considered as most important national economy problem in recent years, Which is mostly because of the following two factors: the one ,city commercial bank is basic sector of national economy and one of the key financial utilities; the other, there are too many shortcomings among city commercial banks themselves.This thesis consists of four parts of three main chapters and the conclusion.Chapter One is a general introduction to Corporate governance .the author of this thesis begins with the development of Corporate governance ,then he puts great emphasis on three historic affairs which affects the theory of Corporate governance, lastly, the author analyzes the theoretical basement, basic principle and types of Corporate governance .this part of thesis emphasize on the theory of Corporate governance .In chapter Two, firstly, the author gives a general introduction to corporate governance in city commercial bank, then remarks on basic principles of Basel committee .secondly ,the author puts great emphasis on corporate governance models between British and Germany. lastly, the author points out the necessary of corporate governance in city commercial bank and the laws and regulations belongs to it .In chapter Three, the author puts emphasis on the following two factors. One, there are too many shortcomings in city commercial banks; the other, actions should be taken to improve the city commercial banks corporate governance. the problems in city commercial banks conclude: unreasonable stock structure, low efficiency, useless corporate governance system, and so on .the main contents of the reform include :actions should be taken to improve civil financial surroundings by civil government, and actions should be taken to improve corporate governance system by commercial banks themselves.Conclusion remark of this thesis is an outlook on future prospects for reform of corporate governance in city commercial banks. the author believes that we should take actions to improve civil financial surroundings and governance system, then we can succeed in the reform of corporate governance in city commercial banks step by step.
