Textile industry is one of the main traditional industries in China, which strongly relies on the international market. Textile exporting has great significance on Chinese industry developing, employment enlarging and international payments balancing.It begins from the trade status quo on textile between China and EU. China is the biggest textile supplier for EU. In the year 2005, we exported a total value of 18.9 billion dollars of textile to EU, most of which are from the eastern and seaside districts of China, and to German, Italian, Britain, France, Spanish. Private-owned enterprises play more and more important roles in the textile export; and the normal trade is the main choice for Chinese textile trade.The author analyzes both advantages and disadvantages of Chinese textile, and also some other factors those can affect the quantity of textile export to EU. The appreciation of RMB would have bad impacts on textile export by making Chinese textile more expensive and less competitive in the international textile market. But the appreciation of RMB can also reduce the price of materials those China imports, which can benefit some enterprises. In the long term, the appreciation of RMB can drive the Chinese enterprises to export textile with more add-ons value, so it can benefit the development of the whole industry in the long term. Other countries such as Turkey, India, Tunis, Morocco, who also do well in this field, can also influence competitive extent of Chinese textile in the EU...
