Along with various countries economy development, people's living standard obtained the remarkable enhancement. The inhabitants have more and more freely controlled income and spare time and the leisure activity starts widely to involve the social life's each aspect. The leisure satisfaction degree can reflect many aspect of local inhabitants' leisure activity directly, for example, structure, quality, the leisure industry's layout, the local leisure policy being reasonable or not. Researching the inhabitants' leisure satisfaction degree is advantageous for people of our country to consummate leisure structure, promote the leisure level and develop the leisure industry.Based on the above background, this article take the leisure satisfaction degree asan object of study, choosing Chengdu and Wuhan-the two significant provincialcapital city of middle and upper Yangtze River area as the model of study. It has conducted the comparison research on the foundation of the market questionnaire survey in to two cities, then analyzes people of two cities' leisure satisfaction degree in present, summarizes its general characteristic, and analysis its reasons. At last, the article puts forward the corresponding proposal. As two cities of middle and upper Yangtze River area, Chengdu and Wuhan can compare in many aspects, for example he geographical position, the city scale, the social economy development, and the cultural type attribution. At the same time, it has extremely typical representative in the national similar city all over the country. Studying people's leisure satisfaction degree of these two cities, it not only stands for the two cities themselves, but also has the model and the comparison significance to study the other city people's leisure satisfaction degree.The paper structure divides into four chapters. First chapter is the introduction, elaborated this article study's object, scope, key and significance, making the outline and the appraisal to the domestic and foreign correlations research. Second chapter introduce the two cities' geographical status, socio-economic status, cultural status, leisure state of the environment residents' leisure living in present, etc. Third chapter will analysis the investigation data, from two cities inhabitants' leisure expected, the leisure activity satisfaction degree as well as appraises the cities' leisure environment to analyze two cities people's leisure satisfaction degree. Fourth chapter will make the overlapping analysis to the questionnaire survey result, analyzes two cities inhabitants leisure satisfaction degree from each different attribute community angle. The last chapter will summarize the two cities inhabitants' leisure satisfaction degree characteristic and give some suggestions to enhance the city people leisure satisfaction degree.
