This article uses empirical analysis as the main research methods, analyzes the status of China's grain trade through plenty of statistical data, and finds problems in China's grain trade. China's grain trade locates disadvantaged in the world; as China's grain products do not have comparative advantage, China's grain export faces difficulties and pressure on grain import is increasing; as China's grain production and trade are restricted by the WTO agricultural agreement, China's domestic support and protect in agriculture and grain are also facing restrictions. At last according to the conclusions of the final analysis, the policy choice of China's grain trade is to be a modest increase in China's grain import, while strengthening China's agricultural support and subsidy under the permission of WTO corresponding rules.Part one makes statistical presentation and analysis on the status of world and China's grain production and trade. After nearly 30 years of rapid growth from 1960s, since 1990 World grain production increased slowly, basically remained stable at 2 billion tons; in recent years, cereals production increased rapidly than other varieties of grain; world grain production distributed uneven, mainly concentrated in a few countries, including China as one of the power of world grain production. World grain trade grows faster than grain production, wheat is the world's largest amount of grain products in grain trade; world grain export is controlled by a few countries, the United States is the world's largest grain exporter; China shares tiny proportion in the world grain export market, but occupies important positions in the world soybean import market.China's grain production has made significant progress since reform and opening up, grain production increased rapidly, which reached 474 million tons as a historical record in 1998.
