Analysis Of Urbanization To The Rainfall&Runoff

Xi’an, as one of the largest city in the Silk Road Economic Belt, has a convenienttransportation and an advanced economy. On account of the rapid development, the soil andwater resource conditions in Xi’an made a great change and led to a series of water cyclewater environment problems. Combined with the great changes of water cycle caused byXi’an urban construction project and basis on the relevant research inside and outsidecountries, this paper analyzed the influence of urbanization on rainfall and runoff. The resultof study plays an important role in revealing law for water cycle change and harmonizing thedevelopment between urban construction and water environmental system. The main researchresults are as follows:(1) Analysis of land use change of urban development. Based on the satellite remotesensing image of six land-use types of nine urban area in Xi’an in1988,2002,2010, the areasof these land-use types indicated the development trend of Xi’an.(2) Analysis of the impact of urbanization on rainfall. By choosing the rainfall data of4weather stations between1975and2012, analyzed the3kind of effects of urbanization (urbanheat island, dry island, wet island) and comparatively studied the influence of urbanization onrainfall of urban area and suburban area.(3) Analysis of the impact of urbanization on runoff. According to the data of rainfall,runoff and evaporation of Maduwang hydrologic station on Ba River and Qingduzhenhydrologic station on Feng River between1956and2005, studied the influence ofurbanization on runoff.(4) Analysis of the impact of land use change on runoff generation. On the basis of thecalculation of the runoff generation of nine urban area in Xi’an in1988,2002,2010, receivedthe laws of influences of land-use type of1988~2010, which was a single factor variable andthe rainfall, land-use type which were multifactor variables on the runoff generation.
