China has been a serious shortage of country’s total water resources, which islimited and is heavily polluted. This phenomenon is shocking. According to statistics,China’s fresh water is generally contaminated fields. Three-quarters of the rivers showedvarying degrees of eutrophication; Most of the city’s water is heavily polluted. Water quality and human health are closely related.Water testing is essential to ensure that the work of one of the water environment.Traditional water testing technology is mainly chemical methods generally rely onartificial scene to take water samples using laboratory equipment to test analysis. Labshave a stable working environment, but this way there will be a long cycle, lowfrequency of monitoring, a large sampling error as well as causing secondary pollutionet_al. At present, no sample pretreatment, portable, real-time online and miniaturizationare considered domestic and international trends in water quality detection technology.Therefore, based on the structure of dual optical path difference, UV probe studies areproposed in this paper.Ultraviolet water probe is a dual-beam differential structure, with open concavesample cell can be realized intrusive, on-line real-time measurement. Probe system canadjust the optical path. The optical range of two sample cell is0~50mm, and thisapproach avoids the difficult choice to work in sub-wavelength spectrometry (dualwavelength measurement method).this structure, dual-beam probe, enablescompensation for temperature and flow, and improve the measurement accuracy of theresults by the reference-channel.Each probe element of the aberration is the use of optical software zemax.Meanwhile, designed the elements of the probe structure and analyzed the results of theoverall system are the use of optical design software tracepro. Through, the probedesign is shown to be achievable from a theoretical point of view by these twosoftwares. In theory, this thesis program proved to be realized. On this basis, the probeis shown to have a function of water quality testing about UV spectrum, by distilledwater’s results.The water quality probe is shown to have a better functionality, bydistilled water’s results. Eight different concentrations of nitrate-nitrogen solution were studied in the main wavelength and sub-wavelength absorbance. By usingdual-wavelength testing method, the standard curves of nitrate solution were obtained atdifferent concentrations. Meanwhile, the measurement results of the water quality probethan Avantis has higher linearity and sensitivity.This paper is to analyze and simulation design theoretically. Actual tests have beencarried out at the same time. UV spectrum of the probe is used for water detectionsystem in this article. This solution enables fast, real-time, on-line measurement interms of water quality testing.
