Research Of Urban Expansion Based On Remote Sensing Image

Urban expansion is a more complex temporal conversion process, the different land usetypes are converted to urban land, and the results showed the growing scale of the city.Expansion of urban land use affects not only the development of the city itself, but also theurban areas have a profound impact on the ecological environment, so the city’s expansion hasbecome a hot topic of current research. To scale of urban development and urban constructionland for reasonable regulation, based on modern technological means dynamic monitoring ofurban sprawl, is imperative. With the application of remote sensing and geographicinformation system technology continues to evolve, the use of remote sensing methods forurban expansion and its interpretation of research in technology compared to traditional landuse dynamic monitoring method has unparalleled advantages.This article focuses on urban expansion series of questions, starting with the theory, thedynamic mechanism of urban expansion and the expansion mode to analyze and summarizethe collection at home and abroad based on the results of similar studies in Xi’an, capital ofShaanxi Province as the research object, using the1995in2002, two TM images of theenvironment on the1st and the2010satellite imagery as the primary data source for urbanbuilt-up area boundary extraction, Xi’an city extended Dynamic change and Driving Forcesmechanism applicable technologies and features regularity studied.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1) Urban expansion information extraction. Based on the maximum likelihood method ofsupervised classification, unsupervised classification method and the comparative study ofobject-oriented method to select a classification accuracy of better information extractionmethods for urban expansion.(2) the process of urban expansion temporal changes of urban land. Number of built-uparea expanded from the city, shape, spatial differences, expand the four aspects of rationalityXi’an urban expansion speed and direction.(3) Driving mechanism of urban expansion. Samples were selected class urban population,economic output class living class, traffic classes and other socio-economic factors, analyzethe driving force of Xi’an urban expansion mechanism.Finally, draw the following conclusions:(1) when extracting information on urban sprawl, three kinds of methods are used to verifythe results of which compare danalysis better. Finally, the object-oriented classificationproved to be the best, the total accuracy. (2) from1995to2010, the geometric center of Xi’an, northwest of the city at the head, thenmoved to the southwest, which is a dynamic city with its expansion is consistent.(3) With the rapid economic development and urbanization rapidly, planed construction landsubstantial surge in the different stages of its unique characteristics in different geographicregions.(4) From the above analysis, it comes to the conclusion that the main driving force of theeconomy known as urban sprawl, traffic and population.
