Terrestrial laser scanning technology is a new data acquisition technique. It can directaccess3D space data to the surface of the object of study with fast, high accuracy andnon-contact. And it has a higher sampling rate. Traditional way of single-point deformationobservation has been changed. It can more accurate expression the complex situation. It isvery important that a3D real-time access to data in spatial information science. Comparedwith traditional mapping technology,3D laser scanning technology improved the level ofautomation to extract information. It does not require layout measuring points can beintensive, comprehensive data collection for the survey area to provide a more comprehensivestudy of experimental data for the deformation monitoring.A large number of discrete terrain point cloud data acquired from3D laser scanningtechnology can’t be applied to deformation monitoring to field directly. This paper introducesthe3D laser scanning technology to analyze the factors affecting the data acquisition accuracyof terrestrial laser scanning, and use the measured data shows the amount of error in the tworegions. Describe two point cloud registration methods: Iterative closest point method (ICP)and least squares3D surface and curve matching (LS3D) method. Describe the surface fittingand point cloud generation figures show that model in the deformation monitoring. Finally, for example to Leica HDS8800system to Chongqing ridge crest dangerous rock mass,multi-repeat sweep of its unstable rock surface to the first phase of data as reference data, thesubsequent installments firstly LS3D registration data overall registration method, and thefirst phase of the data generated TIN, to calculate the distance to the surface deformation ofthe current point; then cut out the data from the whole piece of data iterative method using theICP registration through three surface fitting and interpolation digital surface model toanalyze the shape variables to explore the possibilities of the technology for high-dimensionalmodeling dangerous rock mass tilt and monitoring, risk-based prominent feature of thistechnology landslides and collapses dangerous rock mass monitoring provides ideas.
