As the engineering constructing such as CBM (Coalbed Methane) mining,oil-gas field development, groundwater remediation and underground nuclear wastestreatment, seepage characters of water-air two-phase flow in fractured rock mass havean more and more attention.Using experimental test, theoretical analysis and numerical simulation, this paperstudies the characteristics of pressure, water-air flow rate, the impact of water-air flowratio on water-air relative permeability. And some research results are got as follows.(1) The paper gives a detailed introduction on basic parameters and flowbehaviors of water-air two-phase flow in fracture. For the water-air flow behavior indifferent phases, calculation model of water-air two-phase steady state flow in fractureis initially built.(2) A new water-air two-phase flow in fracture test system is accomplished. Itcan simulate the natural fracture, gauge pressure in several pressure taps on thefracture, offer steady pressure and change pressure or water-air ratio instantly. Somenew experiment methods are offered by this new system.(3) Steady state test of water-air two-phase flow in fracture is accomplished.Based on the phenomena and results of the experiment, this paper obtains the impactof the pressure in fracture entrance, water-air ratio and fracture opening on water-airrelative permeability. The comparison of theory and experiment shows that thenumerial model is consistent with the experimental results.(4) Transient state test of water-air two-phase flow in fracture is accomplished.Based on the phenomena and results of the experiment, this paper obtains the changerules of pressure in fracture entrance, water-air flow rate and water-air ratio during thebreakdown process. The experimental results and the reasons of it are also analyzedand explored.(5) Calculation model for water-air two-phase flow in fracture is built and solved.Comparing the calculation results and experimental results, correctness of the modelcan be verified. The paper also analyzes the change rules of pressure, water-air flowrate and water-air ratio in the fracture.
