In this paper, the author investigated the wild medicinal plant resources in the Gogostai Hanwula National Nature Reserve. On the basis of the result, the author analyzed diversity for the wild Mongolian medicinal plants and the wild Chinese medicinal plants respectively, made some comprehensive evaluations of them, and put forward some suggestions of rational utilization and protection. Research and analysis results were as follows:1. There are83families,270genera and475species of wild medicinal plants (including14varieties,14subspecies,1forma) in the Gogostai Hanwula National Nature Reserve. Among them, there are wild Mongolian medicinal plants of273species (including lower taxa of species, similarly hereinafter) belonging to166genera and68families, accounting for56.8%of the total species of medicinal plants in the protected areas. Having Chinese traditional medicine plants with83families,267genera and467species, accounting for98.3%of the total species of medicinal plants in the protected areas, almost all of the medicinal plants in the reserve can be used as traditional Chinese medicine. Mongolian special plants have7families,8genera and8species, traditional Chinese medicine special plants have51families and138genera and202species, Mongolian and Chinese medicine share67families,162genera and265species of plants. Mongolian and Chinese medicinal plants are similar significantly.2. The life form of wild medicinal plants was given priority to with perennial herb, keep woody plants as the main building group of species, which belongs to the typical type of forest-grassland ecology. Water ecological types were mainly mesophytes, retains the characteristics of the typical forest-grassland ecology.3. According to the medicinal used part and medicinal function, the author classified and compared the wild Mongolian and Chinese medicinal plants respectively. On the medicinal used part, no matter Mongolian medicinal plants or the Chinese traditional medicinal plants, all give priority to with all the grasses, the roots and rhizomes come second, which showed that it was of great similarity on the choice of the medicinal used part. In terms of medicinal function, the Mongolian traditional medicinal plants and the Chinese traditional medicinal plants both have heat-drugs at most and have emetics at least. There are not only differences but also a certain relationship between the Mongolian and the Chinese traditional medicinal plants.4. Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was adopted to establish the evaluation model for overall evaluation on the whole wild medicinal plants in the conservation area, besides evaluating the wild Mongolian and the Chinese traditional medicinal plants respectively, which gave a sort for providing the basis to development and utilization of these medicinal plants. Wild medicinal plants with development and utilization value were divided into4classes, in which class I had68species, class Ⅱ had210species, class III had152species and class IV had45species. According to the evaluation results and plant protection level, and the use situation,15species were list for a brief introduction as the key species.5. In the end, on the basis of the analysis and evaluation, some recommendations for reasonable use and protection of the wild medicinal plant resources were made in this reserve.
