As our country pay attention to the western region development, Chongqing usherin the great development opportunities by municipalizing directly under the centralgovernment, the construction of the Three Gorges Project, the western development andso on.Meanwhile the rapid development of social and economy will also bring heavypressure to the natural environment.Ecological security becomes a pressing problem ofthe day,and the vegetation construction is the most urgent. This paper is discussing theresult of vegeation connsturcion of chongqing, and analyzing the influence factors fromnatural factors and artificial two aspects by using the MODIS-NDVI remote sensingdata, meteorological data, terrain data and the economic data, based on ArcGIS softwareplatform, using the Maximum Value Composite method, average method,S-G filteringmethod,Kriging method, trend line analysis and correlation analysis method. The mainconclusion of this paper are as follows:(1)From the time point of view,NDVI had obvious periodicity in the yearchange, and the annual average NDVI increased slowly in the interannual variationwhich growth rate was0.023/10a.The variation trend of seasonal average NDVIcoincided with the change trend of annual average NDVI,assuming the trend ofescalation. The above analysis shows that the coverage of vegetation was improved inChongqing, the vegetation construction had made certain achievements. From space, thecoverage of vegetation increased obviously in the northeast and southeast ofChongqing,to the contrary, along the Yangtze River,West Chongqing area and urbandevelopment area, the vegetation cover decreased, especially in the nine districts wasmore serious.(2)Influence of climatic factors on the vegetation construction in Chongqing wasmainly in the natural restoration areas of vegetation, and increase of precipitation andtemperature were beneficial to the vegetation construction.(3)About topographic factors,in the low altitude, low slope region, was affectedgreatly by human factors, the vegetation construction was inhibited,at the sametime, green construction and had a positive effect on vegetation coverage;at an altitude of500-1500meters,the slope5-35degree of area, affected by human activities wasrelatively samller, the natural environment was beneficial to the vegetationconstruction;and over1500meters above sea level, slope greater than35degree,thenatural conditions had certain inhibition effect on the construction of vegetation, andvegetation coverage changed small.Influence of slope direction had little effect on thevegetation construction in Chongqing.(4)Through the analysis of human activities on the relationship between vegetationconstruction, the results showed that:vegetation construction was more suitable in thetotal GDP low areas;and the development of the two or three industry had certainnegative influence on vegetation construction in some areas;there was a obviousnegative correlation between the population and the urbanization and the vegetationconstruction;the impact of land use on vegetation construction was mainly reflected inthe change of land structure, increasing forest area could raise the vegetation cover, inaddition, intensive land use degree increase would help promote the construction of theplant vegetation;the formulation of relevant policies and reasonable implementation ofthe afforestation project had a great role in promoting the vegetation construction.(5)The countermeasures of vegetation construction in Chongqing includedestablishing reasonable zoning, the adjustment of industrial structure, the optimization oftree species, expanding the construction of Nature Reserve and strengthen theformulation of relevant polices and maintain the continuity.
