With the development of economy and society, human activities at sea arebecoming more. During the marine survey, people always put various devices into thesea to achieve their goals. According to different probe targets, some of these devicesare put at bottom of the sea, some of them are put at various depths of the sea.When exploration activities are finished, a reliable method for recoveringequipment is needed in order to avoid the loss of the equipment. This paper proposes abeacon device used for recycling of marine survey devices with CSEM in thebackground. Beacon device is designed to increase the successful rate of recycling, soit can be used in different marine survey projects.This article develops the beacon system from the architecture, hardware,software, and other aspects of functional verification.(1)Structure design proposes a fixed way that consists of circle base and layeredcircuit boards. The circle base solves how the devices and circuit boards are fastenedin beacon sphere, so that the internal structure of the beacon system is stable whetherinverted or sea waves sloshing. Layered circuit boards unify energy, control, andcharge and also maintain a stable center of gravity. This structure is easy to assembleand disassemble and easy to maintain.(2)Hardware design studies the beacon circuit functions. STM32F207is pickedas the main control chip, so it can realize power management, GPS positioning,mercury switch shutdown, wireless data transmission, ambient light detection, lightsflashing, solar and wireless dual charge management and power detection.(3)Software design is based on μC/OS-II operating system, which used atask-oriented design approach. The system has very high real-time and reliability andit takes IAP wireless upgrade technology.(4)Finally, a series of testing program are identified to verify the beacon systemcomprehensively, making the recovery of marine detection equipment have reliableprotection. The results showed that the reliability of its functions.
