Underground brines is groundwater whoes mineralization excess50g/L.Undergroundbrine contains high concentration of minerals. China is rich in underground brine resourcesand the utilization of underground brine started as early as The Qin Dynasty.Undergroundbrine is usually used to extract salt, iodine, bromine and lithium.Besides, underground brinealso contains rubidium, cesium, potential of boron and strontium that are urgent needed bycountry.Efficient mining and utilization of underground brine has important economic valueand social value in the economic sustainable development.Precious mineral raw materialsrequired by agriculture, chemical defense and modernization of science and technology isoften obtained from the underground brine as well.Yellow River Delta is the youngest land in China. The Yellow River Delta has a superiorgeographic location, contains abundant brine resources. The deep brine resources are widelydistributed and the reserves is large. Therefore, the deep brine resources has great potential fordevelopment.Deep underground brine in the Yellow River Delta has a higher concentration ofsodium chloride and iodine, bromine and other trace elements. Therefore, efficient miningand utilization of the deep underground brine resources in Yellow River Delta can contributeto the economic development of Dongying City in a large part and provide a wealth of rawmaterials for local industries. This paper coordinating with the national high technology research and developmentprogram (863Program)"The key technology of high efficient mining of deep brine in YellowRiver Delta(2012AA061705)" carry out the research of occurrence characteristics and themechanism genesis of deep brine in the the Yellow River Delta to provide the foundation dataand technical support for the efficient utilization of deep brine. The main research contents include:1.This paper investigated stratum structure, structural features, sedimentary type, sedimentary facies, sedimentary characteristics, geological structure, burial conditions andspatial distribution of the Yellow River Delta region detailedly. This can provide basic data forfurther study on the occurrence characteristics and formation mechanism of deep brine in thisarea. 2. On the basis of the above, This paper have found the distribution characteristics andoccurrence characteristics of deep brine, according to the occurrence characteristics anddistribution characteristics of the deep brine containing brine rock group were divided, andfound out the distribution range and characteristics of each layer containing brine formation,This can provide basic data and technical support for the efficient exploitation in the studyarea deep brine.3. Upon completion of the work of hydrogeological period division in study area, thedistribution and evolution process of groundwater pressure this field were studied, the genesisof the deep brine in the area are analyzed. The results show that: the distribution characteristicsof pressure field and deep brine water distribution coupling well. The formation mechanism ofdeep brine in the study area were proposed initially.4. The distribution characteristics and evolution of groundwater dynamic field areanalyzed, the genetic mechanism of deep brine were studied ulteriorly from groundwaterdynamic field angle. The results and the research results from the pressure angle confirmedeach other.5. The chemical type of groundwater in containing brine rock were analyzed byAquaChem. The hydrogeochemistry characteristics and distribution characteristics offormation water in containing brine rock were investigated thoroughly. The coefficient ofchemistry characteristic of formation water were analyzed. On the basis of above, theformation water were grouped by their origin type. The results were compared with thedistribution of deep brine. The genetic mechanism of deep brine were studied again from thisangle,The research results consistent with the results obtained from the pressure angle andgroundwater dynamic field angle.
