Guangxi is one of the typical distribution of swelling rock and soil regions of China, because of building the foundation of expansion and contraction due to swelling rock deformation caused by cracking, landslide instability and other issues outstanding, prevention works great difficulty. For swelling rock and soil landslide prevention, there is no provision in this regard norms relevant national standards and local regulations can learn in. Based on the full collection of Guangxi swelling rock and soil landslide prevention projects such as survey and design information on the study a number of issues in the preparation of technical code for prevention project of swelling rock and soil landslide need to be considered, this article focuses on expansion and contraction of the red clay landslide, construction and monitoring section. By analyzing the expansion and contraction of the red clay in Guangxi landslide shear strength and failure modes and other issues, the particularity of its prevention research project. In the analysis of various control measures for the expansion of the applicability of geotechnical landslide based on the proposed expansion of geotechnical construction technology essentials landslide control project, elaborated prevention project monitoring purposes, tasks, content and methods. Results of this study for the preparation of technical code for prevention project of swelling rock and soil landslide provides the necessary reference for future prevention of swelling rock and soil landslide also has some significance.
