Due to the regional economic development needs and driven by local benefits,the phenomenon of illegal covering area and illegal mining of mineral resourcesexploration behaviors occurs frequently, and the violations are become more subtle.How to accurately grasp the knowledge of land use and the changes in mineralexploration, and to discover and deter violations is a new problem currently faced bylaw enforcement supervisory managing. The inspection work covers large amount ofdata and the data distributed in different business systems and database systems.How to effectively integrate and unity these fragmented information of land andminerals, then making it effectively work in the decision-making process of the landand resources, has becomes a practical problem in front of law enforcementinspection. Construction of data warehouse of satellite remote sensing imageinspection about land and mineral can solve the problem effectively, where ETL(Extraction-Transformation-Loading) shoulders the responsibility to get data andensure data quality. Therefore, research on data warehouse ETL of satellite remotesensing image inspection system about land and mineral has very practicalsignificance.This paper first introduces the data warehouse, ETL, spatial indexing, invertedtables technologies and other related theories; then in view of the current satelliteremote sensing image inspection data warehouse, gives a detailed analysis about itsdata sources, that is law enforcement inspection information system,three-dimensional land use planning systems and three-dimensional land surveysystem and analyzes purposes of these data in law enforcement inspection work;then introduces the overall structure and function module design of data warehouseETL of satellite remote sensing image inspection system in detail. Finally, introducesthe designing process of spatial index, which designed in the view of ETL loading module and verifies the performance of the proposed spatial index has met thedesign requirements through the performance test. Some issues are summarized thatstill exists in the spatial index retrieval process, and discusses the development trendof satellite remote sensing image inspection system data warehouse ETL tools andspatial indexing techniques.The spatial indexing method designed in this paper, can quickly retrieve theuser required data from data warehouse of inspection system, thereby increasing theefficiency of decision analysis of the inspection. The spatial index may well beapplied to decision analysis field of law enforcement and supervision which used thedata warehouse database technology.
