The dissertation is a part of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (51178033) named "The research on the effect of highway construction on regional airflow field". With the improvement of the national highway system, the wind barriers attract attention gradually, as the important facilities which prevent the vehicle overturning from the strong crosswind. The highway and vehicles change the stability of air flow field in the original area. With the use of wind barriers, the already complicating peripheral airflow field becomes more complicated. Foreign air flow such as motor vehicle exhaust, dust pollutant diffusion become more unpredictable in the complicated flow field. For different types of wind barriers, the reduction wind action and the impact on the location of the air flow field are not the same. Therefore, the research on the influence of the wind barriers for the air flow area of the bridge and road is meaningful.The main research contents:(1) Established in accordance with the relevant regulations of highway embankment and bridge physical model. Considering computational domain size, meshing method, boundary conditions, the equations of discrete format, selected turbulent model, and the results of convergence condition and so on, we set up the flow field calculation model for the bridge and embankment.(2) Highway bridge area flow field simulation and numerical calculation. The dynamic mesh method is chosen to simulate the vehicles moving. We analyzed the influence of vehicles moving on the air flow area of the bridge, the influence of the wind barriers with different ventilation on the air flow area of the bridge, the influence of the wind barriers with different heights on the air flow area of the bridge.(3) Highway embankment area flow field simulation and numerical calculation. The dynamic mesh method is chosen to simulate the vehicles moving. We analyzed the influence of the wind barriers with different heights on the air flow area of the embankment, the influence of the wind barriers with different ventilation on the air flow area of the bridge.The research works for the bridge and embankment selecting the wind barriers parameters and provide the references of the air flow change after using the wind barriers.
