An efcient semi-Lagrangian(S-L) level-set method is presented forcomputing interface motion. The method consists of a second order S-Lscheme for the level-set convection equation, a frst order S-L scheme forthe auxiliary re-initialization equation, and a novel subcell fx to mimicthe signed distance function at the grid points adjacent to the interface. It overcomes CFL stability constraint which is obeyed by classical Euleri-an scheme and permits large time step. The efciency of the S-L methodis demonstrated by numerical examples including3D simulations, and bycomparisons with the other methods. Based on this, We also study a S-Llevel-set method for convection-difusion equation on a moving deformationinterface. Numerical examples demonstrate efciency. |
