In this paper, two aspects of the work were done,First we construct a modified variational iteration method and boundary layer equations solved by this method. For a semi-infinite moving plate, H.S.Takhar etc had con-sidered a MHD asymmetric flow with no mass transfer, and solutions are obtained numerically. In this work, by means of an analytic technique namely by Kummer’s equation, an analytic solution of MHD asymmetric flow with mass transfer is given. Our solutions show that if there is suc-tion, injection or no mass transfer, the solution is unique. Compare with Takhar’s numerical value, it shows that analytic solution is accurate and uniformly valid for the magnetic parameter N for no mass transfer.
