| According to TM image data of three periods,1990,2000,2010, With thesupport of "3s" technology，The data analysis of the three periods of TM remotesensing image is made. We extract the land use classification figure of nearly20years and analysis time and space change characteristics of land use in the study area.In this paper, we also discusses the change process of land use, clear the maindirection of each type of land use change. Based on this, FRAGSTATS software isused to calculate the area of recent landscape pattern index and the brief analysis isgiven of the landscape pattern in the study area.The main conclusions as follows:(1) Land use type of the study area is given priority to the grass and subalpinemeadow, the proportion of the total area of the study area reached more than70%.During the past20years, total increase or decrease of cultivated land area is thelargest. The area of grassland is shrinking, especially the latter decade, grasslandarea is quickly reduced.(2)The main change direction of land use types in the study area is a majortransformation of grassland to farmland. The reason is that in nearly a decade, peoplesave a part of farmland to grassland and used for farming.(3) For various types of LUCC in the study area has a different degree ofchange in the recent20years. Total increase or decrease of cultivated land area is thelargest. The growth in salty soil is the largest. Water, salty soil, saline brush aredirected at the direction of the rapid increase. Firstly, mountain thickets is changed tothe direction of the rapid increase, and then, after ten years develop in a directionslowly reduce again. The grass is in a state of slow decrease.(4)From the landscape pattern, meadows, subalpine meadow and arable land arethe main landscape vegetation types and the grass is the advantage landscape type inthe study area.
