T block in Turkey were already in a large-scale oil and gas exploration. But with theincreasing of oil and gas exploration, emerge in an endless stream exploration problems havebecome increasingly prominent. The geophysical prospecting technology is still the firstchoice, which is one of the oil and gas exploration and development advantage techniques.When the hydrocarbon research work change from structural to lithologic reservoirs, all kindsseismic inversion method were tested and promoted in order to more effectively identifyreservoir and fluid. AVO inversion technique is one of effective methods to identify reservoirand fluid, which is based on the seismic reflection amplitude variation with the incident angleto detect oil and gas reservoirs.This paper is mainly based on the research of existing projects. Firstly, to analyze thereservoir mode of T block by fine structural interpretation. According to the3D seismic dataprocessing and interpretation integrated research, S-wave estimation and AVO modeling,AVO classification, the geophysical characteristics of the AVO class, to predict reservoirdistribution characters of Tertiary gas-bearing sandstone of T block. AVO analyses andresearch is proposed in this paper, to predict shallow gas-bearing sandstone, to improve theprecision of reservoir prediction and provide technical support and the guarantee for the nextstep of oil-gas exploration, which also has an important significance for oil and gasexploration and development expansion of T block in Turkey.AVO technique is applied effectively in Block-T. It has got a lot of experience of3Dseismic data processing and interpretation integrated research, S-wave estimation and AVOmodeling. Base on the research results, some well proposals would be suggested. Finally, theeffectiveness of AVO analysis technique would be confirmed base on the true drilling results,which were applied on hydrocarbon exploration and development in T block of Turkey.
