As energy issues become increasingly prominent, the exploration ofmarine energy has drawn increasing attention. Marine seismic exploration isan important way to find offshore energy, and marine seismic streamersystem is its key part. In streamer system work, precise control of streamer’sunderwater posture is the basis of obtaining information on quality. Whenfaced with an emergency situation, the streamer make accurate and timelycontrol is a prerequisite to ensure the safe operation of the system.“Bird” is needed on the streamer attitude control. In this thesis, proposedeffective attitude control strategy based on the Genetic algorithms andcascade control system. First, the streamer control strategies were studied.Presented and analyzed the basic concept of cascade control structure andcomposition, work process of “Bird’s” cascade control system. Establishmathematical model based on cascade control system, and using Simulink tosimulate. Explored the use of MATLAB genetic algorithm toolbox, calculatethe "optimal combination" of bird’s hydrofoil angle. In order to help the HostComputer improve control over multiple “Bird”, this thesis introduces acommon emergency condition, and analyze and calculate the workingconditions, build mathematical models and use the "penalty function"processing constraints. Established the fitness function based on geneticalgorithm, and proposed a general fitness function formula.Through research, verified the results of the genetic algorithm results areaccurate, fully meet the needs of practical engineering."Bird" cascadecontrol system meets the control requirements, and its speed and stability have certain advantages over non-cascade system. The fitness functionproposed can be used to all cases of the emergency condition. Examplesshow that the method is easy to operate, and the results calculated meet thecontrol requirements.
