In recent years, because of the China’s economic rapid development, so a wealth ofresources was extracted, which leads to the formation of a large number of mined out area.The formation of the goaf will cause ground collapse, cracks, destruction of the ecologicalenvironment, work and life’s security risks, therefore, the detection of goaf has become animportant research topic.This paper mainly studies the application of different geographysical methods in goafminig exploration, to determin the effectiveness of different geographysical methods incertain geological environment. The main technical means include the high densityresistivity method, seismic method, transient electromagnetic method. Electricalengineering geographysical exploration method is an effective and convenient way,especially when we need to deel with the deep exploration situation, the traditional methodcan only measure the limited geoelctric points’ information, but the high density resistivitymethod’s principle is to provide stable power flow artificially, the different medium toproduce potential, then calculate the resistivity picture. Compared with the traditionalmethod, high density resistivity method includes the multi electrode converter, which canget more geoelctric points’ information. The seismic method focuses on the influence ofgoaf on wave velocity and reflection frequency dispersion curve. Dealing with the data thenanalyses and draw the reflection wave and velocity time curve. The transientelectromagnetic method uses the ATEM equipment to collect data, then dealed with thenoise data, calculated the resistivity of trace and voltage, at last drew the intuitive resultspicture.The experiment was conducted in Dong Shengmiao mining area, arranged three lines,each line using different geophysical methods to detect. The equipment adopted DZQ48system, ATEM system and DUK-2high density electrical resistivity system, which weremade by Chong Qing geological company. High density resistivity method using120electrode device and correction of the terrain. In order to improve the accuracy of seismicdata acquisition, using the explosive source. The transient electromagnetic method uses thecentral loop and overlap loop’s way to detect the experimentation area. During theexperiment, we strictly implement the relevant technical regulations and check the data carefully to ensure the data’s reliability. In the data compilation, using a variety of methodsand parameters for obtained the data which can reflect the geological characteristics of thedetection area objectively. Compared with the borehole data, indicated that high-densityelectrical method, transient electromagnetic method and seismic method can detectmined-out area correctly.
