In this dissertation, we present the observation and analysis of21Πg,23Πg,41Σg+and31Σg+state of Rb2by using Infrared Infrared Double Resonance method. Molecularconstants and RKR potential energy curves of all of these electronic states except31Σg+areobtained. The absolute vibrational quantum numbers of the21Πgand41Σg+states are assigned based on the isotope efect and the assignment of23Πgis based on the studyof fluorescence. The RKR potential energy curve of these three states are obtained. Westudied the double resonance signals of31Σg+state and found the perturbation between41Σ+3g,2Πg,31Σg+states.
